Mission: To motivate young
people to be better citizens.
Established in 1993, the George County JROTC has excelled for just over ten
years with the effort of instructors and cadets alike.
George County High School JROTC is a part of the Western
Region and the 8th Brigade. We are under the supervision and instruction of SGM
Larry L. Jones and MSG Ricky R. Lyle.
At the moment, we run six teams within our battalion:
Adventure, Color Guard, Drill, Exhibition Unarmed, Exhibition Armed, and Rifle.
The battalion functions with three companies: Alpha, Bravo,
and Charlie. Each company has a separate rank structure, however the battalion
follows the standard JROTC chain of command with S1-S5, C/CSM, C/MAJ (XO), and
C/LTC.
